Sherm: Sorry to take so long to respond. I’ve been on the phone or e-mailing all weekend over the excitement. You know the live auction did $10,000.00 and the Fund-an-Item did $5,250.00. Thank you very much! The total auction proceeds were $22,170.00. Currently we are netting $27,550.00. Last year’s net proceeds were $16,000.00, and we had about 14 more in attendance last year. Just amazing. Then Men of Fairview BBQ was the single highest selling item in the auction at $2,100.00. Thank you for your entertaining and effective delivery. People really enjoyed you and so far we have had nothing but praise for a great evening. Thanks for all your help. The special children and adults served by McGuire are the beneficiaries of your generosity. Larry Richert was terribly relieved when you approached the stage to conduct the Live Auction at last month’s Awards Dinner of the 2008 Tony Dorsett Celebrity Golf Classic. October, 2009 Dear Sherm, Thank you for your help in the "Players 4 Kids Gala" for the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation. It means a lot. We are extremely pleased, especially in your part of the evening. We made $19,000 in bids for a kid and $15,000 on the live auction. Unbelievable! We grossed $130,000! Thank you for your part in this! We’ll see you next year!
